Wellness Coordination

Create craft service and catering nutritional development based on the needs of each shoot day, balanced with budget.

Consult production on wellness initiatives and injury prevention including, but not limited to:

• Education, consultation, diagnosis regarding ergonomic needs, musculoskeletal care, nutritional and lifestyle concerns

• Nutritional value of craft services and catering 

• Stress management

 

Gather and record injury/illness-related information required by state, federal, and production company policy.

 

Establish and maintain standards for each production for injury and illness prevention, in conjunction with production and the AD team.

Act as the first responder for any accident/injury/illness.

Provide first aid and, when necessary stabilize injured team members until EMS arrive according to CPR, BLS, and ACLS standards.

​

Attend and participate in a safety meeting to review safety aspects of the day's activities and the particular hazards of the location. 

​

Identify emergency response plan per location as needed.

​

Coordinate the emergency contacts in the area. 

​

Identify local hospitals and urgent care with the estimated time for emergency services to respond to production location. 

​

Maintain contact information for the police department, fire department, and hospital. 

​

Coordinate if an ambulance stand-by is needed or if other advanced levels of care should be called to set.
